How To Fix The Spotify Podcasts Not Working Problem?
Using Spotify Mobile App
To play your favorite podcasts in the Spotify desktop app, you don’t need to install any 3rd party software or app. Neither you have to make any technical changes in the app. All you need is Spotify mobile app or at least the Spotify web player, to finally listen to the podcasts on desktop.
First, you need to launch the Spotify app on your mobile as well as on your computer. Make sure that the Spotify account on both the devices is the same, else the method is not going to work.
Search and play the podcast(s) on your mobile that you were not able to play using your desktop app.
Now open the Spotify desktop app and click on the Spotify Connect icon at the bottom right side of the screen. Spotify Connect option is also available in the mobile app and the same procedure can be followed using it also.
Finally, select This Computer option (in desktop), device name (in mobile)
With these simple steps, you will be able to listen to your favorite podcasts right in your Spotify desktop app.
Just like other podcasts, that work normally on your desktop, this one will also work in the exact same way now. Not only a particular Podcast but also the other episodes of the same will also become accessible after this method. You will also be able to follow your desired podcast artist and share it with your friends.
Using Spotify Web Player
If you don’t use the mobile app of Spotify and looking for something that only uses the desktop, then you have landed in the right place. It is quite shocking but the podcasts that you were not able to play using the Spotify desktop app will work perfectly well in the Web Player.
Just like before, you need to launch both the Spotify desktop app and the web player. After that, simply play the podcast using the Spotify web. Now switch to the desktop app to enjoy your podcasts there as both the web player and the desktop app will automatically get synced as they are both opened on the same device. You can close the Spotify web player if you want as it is not going to close the podcast being played on the desktop app.
