We recently heard of Microsoft completing Windows 8.1. Now the rumor is that the first screenshot made its way to the internet. First the screenshot doesn’t show much, it only says “Windows 8.1 Pro Build 9600” and dated “8/24/2013”, and second even though it is something that anyone can fake, according to Neowin.net, the image is real as the person who post it has a good record on the matter.
There were also words that suggested that the Release To Manufacturing (RTM) version of Windows 8.1 would leak over the weekend. But it didn’t happen, the source of the screenshot, named Cleric, noted at MDL forums, that Microsoft is keeping a close eye on all those who have access to the OS final bits. Basically, it means the obvious, that it might take longer for us to see more or we probably won’t see anything until October 17th, which is when Microsoft will start letting users download the final version.
