Far Cry 6 is the best-looking game in the series and there are some tweaks you can do with graphics settings to get the best FPS possible. But if you have a rig that meets the recommended specs for the game, then this guide is not for you. Today we are trying to help some among us, who are still shocked to see the minimum requirements for Far Cry 6. So we will look at all the steps and options we can change to get the highest FPS without dropping the entire visual experience to potato graphics.
Best Far Cry 6 Graphics Settings For Higgest FPS Performance
Here are the Far Cry 6 best graphics settings for a rig that barely meets minimum specs:
Monitor
- Refresh Rate – 30 or 60 depending on the benchmark, we will come to this later
- Display Resolution – 1280 x 720
- The game doesn’t look that bad in this resolution (check screenshot above)
Best Far Cry 6 Quality Settings
- Graphics Quality – Low
- HD Textures – Off
- Avoid downloading this to save HDD space
- Anti-Aliasing – TAA
- No much difference in FPS, but get better lines and corners
- Motion Blur – On
- This will give an illusion of a higher frame rate on your PC
- Poisoned and Drunk Effects – Off
- Avoid the extra FX on the screen to save some FPS
Advanced Settings
- V-Sync – Off (Will save some FPS, but use it if you getting a lot of tearing)
- Enable Framerate Lock – Yes
- At end of this guide, run the in-game benchmark and come back to set the closest Framerate value to your results, apply the same for the Refresh Rate in the Monitor tab
- Adaptive Resolution – Yes
- Resolution Scale – 1.0
- If you are using 1280 x 720 resolution in settings, then try to keep at 1.0
- FidelityFX Super Resolution – Off
Changing all these will only take up to 2.68 VRAM on your PC. I know it’s too much for some players, but unless there is lots of action going on the screen at the same time, your VRAM usage will be less and give you good enough framerates to play the game. Hopefully, this guide helps you in exploring Yara now.
