It seems that Facebook has been pretty busy lately. This time the social network giant is rolling out a new version of the very well-recognized Photos app — that we all used at one point in time — with a larger resolution images and speed improvements in addition to the massive privacy changes that are already on the way.

Now, the photos you upload and share with your friends are bigger, how big? From 720 pixels, now they will be pumped up to 960 pixels, which gives you more detail per image and they load twice as fast. Photos that you have previously uploaded to your account will also get the treatment.

Also Facebook is rolling out a new redesigned photo viewer that is cleaner and makes easier to enjoy your photos. Now every time you launch the photo viewer a white overlay background will appear giving you more focus on the image and less on the surrounding frame.

If you don’t see these changes right away in your Facebook profile, don’t worry because the company is gradually updating everyone over the next several days.
