The widely popular app, Dropbox gets an update for its Android version, pushing it to version 2.4.3. Dropbox has been rolling out its new update since yesterday evening, and the major change in the new updated version is that it now has a better preview for the documents, i.e. Microsoft Word, Powerpoint documents, and and the standard PDFs can be viewed better within the app, without having to switch out off the app. Along with this major new feature, the search process is also modified, which now keeps tracks of recent searches and offers typehead suggestions, and highlights the names of matching files or folders as you type your search as well. These are the features which were obviously missed in the previous dropbox versions, and are sure welcome by the users.
Another new feature for Dropbox for Business users is the option to set view-only permissions for folders that you have shared, so that no one can edit the files that are in there. This is certainly deemed to be a great feature for the business users, and for all as well that dropbox gets an update for its Android version, with so many new features. There are also some minor bug fixes, and the Android L users are noting that the update fixes the crashing issue which was experienced by a lot of preview version users in Android.
