Command Prompt on Windows 10 is perhaps one of the most commonly used experience among tech savvy users to run commands and use utilities that do not offer graphical user interface (GUI). However, up until now, if you wanted to see all the available commands, you needed to use the Help command, but now, Microsoft has made available (via Lifehacker) an easy to use PDF reference file that you can download with information about every command.
The PDF file is called “Windows Command Reference,” it contains 948 pages, and it includes references from Windows 10, Windows 8.1, and Windows Server 2016, Windows 10 Server 2012, and Windows Server 2008.
Although this reference guide is not focus on older versions of the operating system, most of the command has been available for a long time, which means that you can still refer to this PDF even if you’re still running Windows 7.
The Windows Command Reference PDF isn’t just for commands, Microsoft has spent some additional time to include some tips how to use the console, and other information including direct links to online documentation.
