After a year and a half Microsoft is finally making available Windows Phone 8.1 update available for download as a preview. But what features are included in the update? First and foremost, users will get Cortana, the Microsoft’s digital assistant and answer to Apple’s Siri, new highly requested notification center, and Start background among many others features.

To get a closer look to all the features and changes coming to Windows Phone 8.1, Microsoft recently published a new review video in YouTube highlighting everything that is new, from how to choose a photo to set up the Start background, going through how Cortana is a game changer as a digital assistant, to other features such as Data Sense to control your monthly data usage, and how to escalate a phone call to a Skype call. Storage Sense to move apps to SD card or content to SD card; new calendar, which has been redesigned to look more like the Outlook calendar; roaming settings between your Windows Phone device and your PC and a lot more.

The video is about 16 minutes long, but it’s really worth to get started with new software update.
