It seems that many companies are after the Surface Pro 3 design these days. First Lenovo introduced the Miix 700 tablet with various Surface characteristics, then Apple unveiled the iPad Pro, and now Dell is the next company to base a device on Surface Pro 3.

According to a few leaked marketing images published by Giga.de, the PC maker is planning to launch a new XPS 12 2-in-1 hybrid tablet running Windows 10, which undeniably looks very similar to the Microsoft Surface Pro 3.

The Dell XPS 12 will feature a magnetic connection to attach the keyboard. The cover with the keyboard will also feature illumination for low-or-no light settings.

The device will also feature a 3840 x 2160 pixels (4K) resolution infinity display, identical to the one found in the new Dell XPS 15. Additionally, the Dell XPS 12 2-in-1 will come with a Thunderbolt 3 port, 8-megapixel back-facing and 5-megapixel front-facing camera.

One of the slides reveals that the tablet will deliver 10 hours of battery life on a single charge. At this point, we don’t know the processor Dell will be choosing for this device or the amount of RAM or storage.

According to the slides the PC maker may be planning to launch the tablet sometime in October, pricing is yet to be announced.
