As you unbox the Equinox Kronos wireless headphones, you will find several accessories along with them. Firstly, you will find a yellow-colored hard carrying case. Along with that, you will also find a USB Type-C charging cable, Type-C Wireless dongle, USB type-C to the type-A converter, and a mic cushion inside the box. In addition to that, you get a Headset, 3.5 Audio cable, and a User Manual. These wireless headphones are compatible with Windows, Xbox models, PS4, PS5, mobile, and tablet devices. So, the compatibility has pretty much covered up for most of the devices.

As soon as I switched on the headset and connected the dongle to my device, I got the “Connected” prompt in a second. So, I liked its rapid connectivity and its build. But there are several factors to be considered. Let’s begin with its Design and build first.

Design & Build

Good things first! The ear cushions of the headphones had a premium and comfortable feel to them. As stated, the Protein leather and memory foam had an exquisite vibe. Although without the conditioning, this protein leather will start to peel and tear unexpectedly. But that’s the case with almost all the headphones.

Sound Quality

With its software or app, you can tweak and change its Equalizer (EQ) setting. There’s a separate EQ setting for Gaming & Music. And there’s a wide range of EQ presets in both of them. If you love Rock music, its Rock & Roll mode will take you right away from Back in Black to Stairway to Heaven. You will enjoy and relish every musical note using these headphones. You can also create custom equalizer settings that suit you.

Coming to the 7.1 Surround Sound Gaming, you will hear every single move in the game quite a crystal clear. I tested out CSGO and Valorant with these headphones on. With the Surround Sound EQ mode, I could hear every enemy’s step with the crisp sound. While playing CSGO I could hear all the enemy moves and trace their locations.

Battery Life & Mic

What’s better is its 24-hour long-lasting battery life?! But for that, you might need to sacrifice the LED lights. You can extend its battery life to 24 hours if you keep the volume to 70% and the LED Lights switched off.

In addition to that, its mic is also pretty decent. Its Pullout mic offers a separate Environment Noise Cancellation (ENC) mode for players to use. You can use this mode to communicate with your friends and other players during different matches in-game. Although while testing there was an instance wherein the person connected in-game could hear my voice break. So, that did ruin the experience a bit.
