Cliplets is a Microsoft Research application project that basically allows you to easily create animated GIFs images. Cliplets are a type of imagery that falls between a still image and a video, and they allow you to capture a moment in time to a suppose instance in time. The app enables this by using computer vision and computer graphics techniques. The videos below will guide step-by-step how to create a Cliplet.

The Microsoft Research app works in Windows 7 32-bit and 64-bit and in Windows 8. If you have any questions about the app, Microsoft doesn’t officially support it, but they do have a forum where you can post them and find some answers.
