It looks like the developers of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare are leaving no stone left unturned when it comes to taking the game to the next level. Infinity Ward has revealed a new reload mechanism which they will implement in this Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.

In the previous game, you never had the option of reloading when you have the target in sight. You had to lose the aim and reload, well this is about to be changed this time around.

Now you will be able to reload while in ADS, animation director Mark Grigsby had this to say about the new reload animation.

The best part about this news is that the reload animation will depend on how many bullets you have remaining with you if your magazine is empty you will see an animation which is different to that of a tactical reload with a half-empty magazine.

This makes sense as you need to have your target in sight and reloading used to be the factor that would make many players lose their target, Grisby further added, “The reload to me is the pinnacle of the weapon; it makes you feel–after you’ve taken down five different dudes in a room–and you reload, you go, ‘Sh*t yeah, you’re done!’”

It looks like Activision are leaving no stone unturned this time around and this attention to detail to small elements shows how much the developers care about the project.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will be released on the 25th of October for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
