As Gearbox Software announced, the next-gen version of Borderlands 3 has been successfully certified for PS5 and the Xbox Series X/S.

As recently officially confirmed, Gearbox Software’s loot shooter Borderlands 3 appears in a revised version for the new generation of consoles of PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.

After the COVID-19 crisis in recent months meant that numerous games had to be delayed, some of them at short notice, the creators of Gearbox Software assured via Twitter that the next-gen version of Borderlands 3 successfully passed the certification process. Thus, the loot shooter can appear on time for the Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5.

But which technical optimizations are offered in detail on the consoles of the new generation? Gearbox Software already answered this question as part of the official announcement and pointed out that both the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X offer a display in 4K and smooth 60fps.

Also part of the game is a local multiplayer mode for up to four players and the option of transferring the content you have acquired, such as add-ons, and your saved games to the respective next-generation version within the family console.

Borderlands 3 will be released in time for the local launch of the new consoles on November 10, 2020, for the Xbox Series X/S and on November 12, 2020, for the PS5.
